COX Connecticut Moves NBC Sports Network

COX Connecticut has moved the NBC Sports Network from Channel 139 (where it was surrounded by the other sports networks) to Digital Channel 93 (SD) and Channel 1093 (HD). Meanwhile FXX remains on 131. (where it was as FOX Soccer Channel)

Comcast up in the Boston area, where I was visiting last week, still has FXX in FSC's old Channel 256, amid NHL, ESPN Classic, NBA, etc. I can only assume that it will change neighborhoods at some point in the near future, unless FXX is merely a placeholder until Fox comes up with another sports channel to put there. Maybe once Fox Sports 2 is accepted by most of the major cable providers, it will move there. Time will tell. It is weird to have this very non-sports channel in the middle of a sports tier.

FXX isn't merely a placeholder. It's meant as the comedy channel complement to FX like TBS is to TNT. Fox put some Always Sunny and The League on there.
