Power increase for 920 KVIN?

I live in Elk Grove. Lately I've heard 920 more clearly than usual during the day. I wonder if it's permanent? I've heard this previously, but it's only been temporary. Do they want to be another Modesto Powerhouse?

You must be real lucky, during the day their signal is powered down, and at night it goes up in power. I have heard it once during the night (around 2-3am) going south on the 99 through Galt and it was pretty strong. During the day, I think Lodi is as far north as it goes.

That would be an accurate description, Daniel. But now it's like its on its night time power all the time. It can actually be heard into downtown Sacramento where buildings and power lines start to take their toll.

Why don't you email the station and ask them?

There has been times that KVIN 920 has operated with its nightime transmitter site during the day and daytime site at night ,if they have problems with one or the other.

It usually last a day or two at the most, and I think they lower power on the nighttime site if used during the day to protect 910 Oakland adjacent frequency.
