Nikki Stone Terminated at the Rock (Rock107)

I suggest that all FM listeners in Northeast Pennsylvania boycott Rock 107 and all stations owned by the Lynett family. Furthermore, I would also suggest that people stop buying subscriptions to their crappy newspapers at once.

The reason the Lynetts along with incompetent management at Rock107 unfairly terminated the employment of Nikki Stone who did the afternoon drive by time slot. I suggest that all listeners immediately boycott Times Shamrock for unfair treatment of their employees. Send a message to those greedy Lynett family that people are not going to accept their B.S. radio stations anymore which play the same songs over and over again. The only thing the Lynett's care about is advertisement revenue , not the people who listen to their stations. BOYCOTT ROCK 107!!!!! DON'T LISTEN TO THE STATION !!!
 
Get real.. you can be fired from any job at any company for any reason as long as it's not sexual, religion, or other forms of discrimination. I was let go from a job because I questioned why I had to do a particular task that a woman in my same position was not required to do. This is RADIO.. you get fired for any reason and no reason at all sometimes. Do you think years of service, dedication, and talent mean anything? If you do, you're in for a huge surprise. There's no gold watch and party.. if you're lucky they'll let you clean out your desk.. most of the time there's a box waiting for you at reception. I don't listen to Rock 107 anymore and it is too repetitive but not because of some rant about how the DJ got stiffed.. that's a gimmie!

OK. Calm down. We all know broadcasting is a cruel business. I was hoping someone heard an "off the record" reason out there somewhere. Job performance? Ratings?

Nikki Stone was terrible. Why 107 allowed her to take so many phone calls and then give her opinion on things was baffling.

Her views on gun control after the Connecticut shootings were outrageous. That's not something for a ,albeit horrible, classic rock station.

Rock 107 as a whole is a terrible station. It's the same 50 songs over and over again. The Rolling Stones have 100s of songs. 107 plays the same five everyday.

Sorry your friend got fired. Maybe she should go to where opinions matter, like WILK.

Hopefully this is just the beginning. Rock 107 needs a full overhaul. It's old and dated. So many classic rock songs and they play the same ones. Probably for ratings but most people aren't listening to them anymore.

The Electric Lunch is a joke too. Call in and make a request but only if its something we play 10 times a day!
Remember a year or so ago when they mixed it up with more 90s rock? What happened? The old people complained. The rest of us switched the channel.

Not only did Nikki Stone get the axe, Dave Direnzo who did the morning show got fired last month. You want to know why?, You want to know why?,You want to know why?,You want to know why?,You want to know why?, because he was was incompetent, lazy, rude, arrogant, obnoxious, moronic and just plain sucked on the radio.

Bring back Nikki Stone and Mikey Evans , Boycott Rock107 !!

Nope I have a turn table with a class A tube amplifier that goes up to eleven. I play Mikey Evans vintage vinyl records while driving down the mean streets of ShickShinny

Always thought that if a communicator was hired *in the first place* to communicate,
and then got the wastebasket, then those who welcomed the personality aboard
(after a 'nationwide talent search', of course) were the ones who screwed up.

Money was probably the issue. It always is. Money is easier to analyze than
ratings breakdowns.

Rock 107 appears to have a pretty nice signal through the two big cities and the in-between
places. Any company dissatisfaction with their own product indicates that management's
vision is cockeyed.

The youngest median listener who tolerates the essence of the Classic Rock format turns 55 soon.
If you're a DJ playing music for the former AoR crowd, look elsewhere aside from the
radio classifieds real soon.
