Should Sean Hannity replace Dick Morris on WPHT AM 1210?

What do you guys and gals think about that? IMO, 1210 should fire Dick Morris. He is not made for radio and I don't agree with everything he says. For this and other reasons, Sean Hannity should be back on 1210 from 3-6 Monday-Friday IMO. I'm sure the station would get better ratings than the host that's on now.

Let me get this straight: You want to fire Morris because he's "so Republican" and replace him with Hannity ?!? What do you think Hannity is?
Face it, the industry is so brain dead they won't even consider anyone not "so Republican," no matter how "made for radio."
If you don't like "so Republican," why do you even listen to that station?

I didn't realize that 1210 is a republican talk station. I'm a democrat. I guess I will stop listening to some of the shows on the station then.

Hannity to air on a delay on 1210?

The same source that told me that Rush is coming back to WPHT just told me this:
Morris isn't going anywhere. Again, you didn't hear it from me. But, Hannity may be on late at night. it's not a bad thing. Hannity never got any numbers, here. So it's better to put him at night.
Thoughts? I don't agree with this move at all. 1210 needs to cut its losses with the unsuccessful local talk shows by putting syndicated talk back in the afternoons

See, Julius listens for the entertainment value, not the politics. Lots do. Which is why Hannity is (marginally) better than Morris. Hannity is at least entertaining. This is also why Limbaugh is so popular.

People who can't listen to these shows long enough to get a feel for them due to ideological baggage are at a disadvantage when they attempt to comment from a position of ignorance. They fall back on crutches like "hate speech." These folks should stick to their strengths, whatever they may be, and leave the commentary on successful talk shows to those who are actually familiar with them.

The board benefits and the uninformed commenter, through the application of a bit of restraint, demonstrates a capability to exercise good judgement, at least for today.

But it's unlikely that Morris (who is under contract) is going anywhere. PHT wanted Limbaugh and may have gotten a price break to take Hannity, who PHT could run from 6 to 9 to blunt the effect of a portion of its audience tuning to 990 for Mark Levin. During baseball, the broadcast would be delayed.

Thank goodness for satellite radio. Sean is on at 3-6 on Sirius-XM 125. The Great One is on 6-9pm and even Glenn is on 9-noon. I listened to them on satellite before 106.9 came and I will listen again there if they're not on live in Philly. Heck, when Rush and Sean move to WOR from WABC in NYC in the new year, they'll come in better down here in Philly from NYC.

Calling anyone who agrees with you a "great American" and yelling and talking over anyone who disagrees with you is not my idea of "entertaining" radio. Hannity has the chops to do a good radio show, but in recent years he's become a parody of himself. Being repetitive and rude is bad radio regardless of what your political views are.
