WJQS Oldies 1400 streaming again

I noticed that the stream for WJQS on TuneIn is back up. Now you can get your oldies fix from anywhere!

RFB

Welcome back to streaming, Oldies 1400. I have it on overnight now. I have been getting my Oldies fix streaming at WMID in Atlantic City, NJ. Now I can listen at night locally. Even though Oldies 1400 is local, of all the stations I listened to I like WMID in New Jersey better because it plays more oldies from the 50's and more do-wop.

Since Oldies 1400 is carrying Scott Shannon in the morning, They need to carry Scott Shannon's show on Sunday Night where he plays all the hits from the 50's. I had a listen one night when I had streamed Kool107 out of Batesville, MS on Tunein. He is on from 7-Midnight ET (6-11 CT) on the Real Oldies Channel. This is one downfall of Oldies 1400's that they don't play all that many songs from the 50's in rotation.

Sure beats 105.1 Jackson. They play the same 300 songs over and over with canned DJ's. Mostly the tired over-played "At work" oldies geared towards 40+ females. WIIN 780 is still messed up.

I just came across this station on the net good mix of oldies, one thing I checked them out on google maps there is no tower and the so called studios looks like a residential house across from a railroad yard. Is this the location of the station and where is the tower...

I believe the tower for WJQS is in South jackson if I'm not mistake. I assume the studios are located with its sister stations WOAD WJNT WJMI WKXI. If you see a Jim Walter house and no tower, you could be looking at the WZRX tower site off I-220. WZRX is off the air and the towers are gone.
