Gonzaga basketball now on KIXI

KIXI started airing promos today that it will broadcast Gonzaga University basketball games for the 2013-14 season. Have the Bulldogs aired on Seattle radio before (I do remember KONG airing games for one season)? And how successful do you think these broadcasts will be?
 
It's a break from history, as (to my knowledge) KIXI has NEVER aired sports of any kind.

Gonzaga previously aired on KJR, KKNW and KPTK.
 
I wouldn't be surprised.
 
I hope not. We don't need any more darn sports stuff on the AM dial. 5 stations in one market is ridiculous.

NBC, Yahoo, a few others....Hell, why not just fill it all up with sports if it's that great....SHEESH!
 
Personally I don't understand this sports fetish. But hey, it's like they don't know the meaning of the word "overkill" as it is. So whatever...
