Imus

when do the contracts end for Imus at Cumulus & Fox?
I can't imagine they would re-sign him unless its year to year.
Or is that the type of contract he now has.?
frankly, I've never found Imus funny or compellling.
His nasty act does nothing for me. Were his ratings ever
really high at WNBC, WFAN, WABC?

I loved Imus at WNBC and WFAN. His act wasn't all bitterness back then and he did some very funny routines. He has not aged well, though.

Once upon a time, his ratings and billing were spectacular. That's why WNBC brought him back in '79. That's why WFAN, a sports station, kept him in morning drive. When he launched in syndication in '93, he brought a serious boost to the ratings of the first 2 stations to air him, WEEI Boston and WWRX Providence.

That was 20 years ago, though. His audience has been loyal, but he hasn't been "Imus" in decades.

He sounds like he's on life support on air.
