We smell chestnuts roasting at 44th & Van Buren....and we aint referring to the local ho's on EVB, but the All Ho-Ho-Ho music ready to launch on 99~Nine!
 
Clear Channel started it last week in a number of markets, Detroit being the largest. And just today Delirious/XM converted a number of their channels to All Ho-Ho-Ho music.

It's a conspiracy.

Now we have to go through 41 days of HELL. No good radio stations to listen to at work without tieing up a computer or smartphone. I can't wait until Dec. 26. At this time of year all the idiot XMAS music fans can go to hell for all I care.

No good radio stations to listen to? KWSS-LP just wrapped up their pledge week. I heard Chvrches, HAIM, and XTC today - no Christmas music - and no stupid commercials.

I stick by my original statement. There are NO GOOD stations to listen to until 99 comes back. KWSS is not a radio station but a morass of chaos!!!

So wait....you are saying that KEZ is the only thing good to listen to when its not the Holidays? And when it IS the Holidays, then you can't find another station that plays their cookie cutter format?

Clear Channel could be doing worse. I wasn't aware PD's in this market even knew about Paul McCartney's "New" album, which - you read it here first - will show up on Best of 2013 lists everywhere and on the list of Grammy nominations. Of course, they *are* Clear Channel, so I'm not expecting they'll be programing Bad Religion's, Nick Lowe's, and Erasure's Christmas entries into rotation.

Does anyone know if Thanksgiving is a holiday any more? Perhaps this lack of attention is due to the fact Clear Channel does not have a station playing All Turkeys, All The Time?

...hmmm, are there some title suggestions you'd like to make?

I am a devoted AC music listener who hates Xmas music so I don't have a clue but "You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant, excepting Alice"
