Miami Marlins to WINZ

This is the second deal Clear Channel stations have made in the last few days to become the new flagship stations of a local MLB club.

The New York Mets recently signed a deal with New York's WOR-710, which Clear Channel has recently acquired.

WINZ already has the Dolphins, Gators football and basketball and runs other NFL games. Could be a tight squeeze on the schedule. So I bet a bunch of things will end up on Big.

The Miami Marlins get a strike out on this trade. Most games are played at night and the heterodyne interference on WINZ is severe. 10,000 watts with 6 towers. Even thou WAXY was also directional, they have the better signal with less power at night.

Forget about 790's signal, they will not be around much longer.
WAXY is on 104.3 and soon will only be on 104.3.

I totally agree. But what do you think they will do with the 790 signal? More sports? Run one of the networks (and maybe get paid to do it?) Total brokered? I'd love to know everyone's thoughts
