Where are all those LPFM applications ?????

Hasn't the filing window closed ? Or has it just been moved ?? Where are all of those LPFM applications ? Nothing lseems to be listed yet.

I think in SoCal there just aren't many feasible frequencies available on FM. Take for example KOCI radio http://www.kociradio.com/

They inhabit the same frequency as 50kw KGB in San Diego (101.5 FM). As one drives away from the transmitter location in Costa Mesa (corner of Irvine Blvd and East 17th St... about a block from my Optometrist's office BTW) the signal gets interference from KGB's signal about 2 miles away. I guess they had to pick that freq. because 101.3 would be too close to KRTH and 101.7 would be too close to KSCA. So why bother with an LPFM that few people will listen to AND be able to receive clearly?
 
Looks like know one really knows the answer. The FCC web site -- shows NO new LPFM allications yet filed -- nationwide. Yet the filing window has closed. There must be an LPFM application filed some where within the US.
 
Or the most nifty way of all - if you have Google Earth. Go to the Cavell Mertz & associates site - fccinfo.com. In the upper right hand corner click on "fccinfo on google earth". Load the plugin and check it out.
