Bob Grant Show 50th Anniversary

Along with the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination, November 22, 1963 also marks the 50th anniversary of the Bob Grant Show. This clip is from an appearance Bob had on the Joey Reynolds' Show in 2000. Bob Grant describes taking over for Joe Pyne the night of the John F. Kennedy assassination, and starting his own talk show. This is an exclusive to this board. I don't think it's been mentioned anywhere else.

Maybe you need to "think carefully". Gigante is the real last name of this character. That, along with his hairpiece are not the only phony things about him.

Over the years he consistently backed the sorts of right-wing pol's who have repeatedly cut the throats of the working class the comprises his audience.

He, his medium and misled listeners are now fading into oblivion. That can only be good for America.

That is one of the most incongruous remarks I've read here...as yet.

Mr "Grant" was one of the most divisive and abrasive hosts to ever darken the radio dial. He was often openly bigoted and cynically manipulated the fears and prejudices of his dimwitted audience for profit.

The fact that he was so richly rewarded by the industry speaks poorly of it's ethics.
