Great News For Everyone Reading

So what?

So what? Your application has been received. It's not great news until you get the CP!

Agreed. Still this guy doesn't seem to have any other outlet to draw attention to himself. Respectfully, give him a break.

Good job, Dan. It's a start. Hopefully there are no competing applications and you'll get your CP. Then the hard work begins.

Good to see your App, Dan. I know you are excited about the site you will be allowed to transmit from. However, I have just studied your contour - and you barely reach the city of Selma. That concerns me - if I were you, I'd be trying to get your transmission site moved closer to the populated area. Just my two cents. Let me know if I can help. Good luck!

My app is up too :)

It's not perfect but no application ever is. I think if it's built out to the specifications he applied for, it'll do OK.

It's certainly no worse than the 99.3 app in Selma where the antenna AGL is barely 9 feet!

Whoever filed that app must have thought they were building a pirate station with the antenna hidden in an attic. ;)

Glad to see your application on file Dan. As jay said though the contour does concern me. Hopefully that can be improved upon in the future if you are granted your CP. Good luck!

my coutour concerns me a little too - i'm going to be quite staticy in the southern part of my city. i played around last night to see if i could move to a more central location but i really can't. i ran two potential sites in the center of my town and they both have no channels available. my site is about a mile as the crow flys north of the center of town.

You can apply for a new tower location after the CP is approved. As long as the new location is within the contour of the old site it's considered a minor modification. Simple form to submit.

I ran the gps coords of a location i'd like to see a tower at (better coverage for my population) - about a mile and a half - - but running it today, i am told no channels available. If there are no channels available, can i still move my CP a mile and a half once it's granted?

it is within the countour...

May as well tell you this. Wasn't going to yet but this LPFM app. may be the first one to be dismissed. Sterling Communications is awaiting their payment for their services rendered. Unless my nameless backer (I already told Mr. Rick Peters and Alan McCall who he was) comes through with his promise to pay that bill, this new radio station will be history and I won't even be able to pursue it any longer. Man this makes me sick to my stomach. Gotta go and eat me some yummy fish from that little seafood place. Glad we still have Captain D's here. I was so hoping to bring a full time CCM radio station to Selma. That may soon be a thing of the past. Sorry for getting everyone's hopes up. I was excited over this too. Hope God will turn this sad event, into something wonderful and awesome when all is said and done. For those who've been Praying for me, keep it up. I'm still holding on to the idea, that things will work out after all and this new LPFM radio station will happen.

P.S. And if I make it that far, may see about moving the antenna closer to Selma. Right now, I'm going to see if Sterling gets their payment, from my nameless backer. If that person has already bailed out, I hope Sterling will allow me to find another way to get this payment to them. Don't want to see this blessing become dismissed and done away with for good.

To the moderators, could you remove the post above this one. It was made in error. Please forgive me for making it.
