Just when I was getting used to no radiodiscussions.com and living a life of complete tranquility, this site popped back up.

Lots going on, especially in the LPFM world.
 
I could vent for several hours about the whole sudden demise of the board...not in any way implicating the great folks who keep it running, but implicating the doorknob who bought it and preaches in his magazine about how radio operators need to get out there and be cutting edge .... but at first sign of "no money in this" folds up the tent and leaves the office in the middle of the night. Thanks to the team who resurrected. There is too dang much history on these boards to just let it die one night.
 
Glad to have the boards back 10:1 odds say that within a week there will be a post about a 1988 Beach Boy's Song.

Ok, I really don't understand why the site went down for a couple months, only to come back. They should have at least notified us what was going on, and told us they were going to be back soon. How did y'all figure out the site was back? I didn't get any emails.
 
I found out from a mention on RadioInsight.

I think in it's absence, they might have found the true value in these boards. It's not much of a moneymaker. But even FM Stereo didn't make a dime for it's inventors (Zenith.) They licensed the system for free. Smart move - it became the universal standard of FM Stereo transmission.

Emails are going out to all registered members, but there are a whole lot to process. If you are a registered member you will likely get one soon.

It's like a reunion of sorts. Good to see familiar names and fresh posts building. It's like a station that dropped a good format, which was picked up by another operator. Welcome back, indeed. Best wishes for a long successful run!

I was a bit alarmed when I noticed the forums went down. Good to see it's back.
 
I honestly didn't realize how much I would miss interacting with all of my friends here...it's been a long 2 months -- even with the alternate board.
