My one experience with AM was with Rocky allen. The reception was bad, they cut into his show mid sentance with pointless news updates. they obviously did not support the show from the start, since no one would treat a show they liked like that.
I will not follow scott to AM if all AM is like that.

My recollection is that it was Rocky Allen himself who droned his way through pointless news items, as though reading from the newspaper. He never seemed to make any particular point of offer a unique insight. I never heard him on PLJ -- maybe that show was different -- but I find it hard to blame the AM environment for what I heard on WABC.
 
Shannon to mornings on WOR., ? And , then in, the future ----on WOR AM FM ---710 & 105.1? That
Would put the Mets on AM & FM.
 
No shortage of rumors. I've heard Shannon could go to WOR, CBS FM or Fresh fm.
The decision could come soon.
 
But, who would a station team Shannon up with? Another guy or a woman?
I can't see Shannon doing a show solo.
 
WNOW 92.3 could be a cbs home for Shannon too. Or----Fresh 102.7.
That is----if Scott could stomach the music those stations air.
 
Scott mentioned he would be involved with doing oldies when he comes back...maybe he will bring his Oldies show to WOR in the Morning.
 
If I were running Clear Channel...I would try and talk Imus's Former Sidekick CHARLES MCCORD into doing AM Drive if WIKI is correct he is 71 now...give him a 2 Year Contract-Still sounds much younger than his age,very familiar personality and it would give them time to figure something out-at this point they need to BUY TIME.
 
I assume WOR could not bring in Curtis & Kuby for mornings.
Their WABC contract would likely prevent that. Correct ?

Plus, WABC may plan to move Curtis & Kuby to mornings when
Imus is gone.
 
Why should we care anymore? In the future-- AM & FM may almost be totally
syndicated -- voicetracked---automated. And , likely will be beaten by internet radio.

Scott Shannon did a live solo show for a good while. At least it seemed live, considering he asked for audience input and responded pretty much right away. Not a bad show either.
 
if he's on WOR --- Shannon can chat on the air with Joe Bartlett ---- if Joe remains at WOR.
Unless WOR brings in a woman to do news. ( such as Patty Steele ) .

To be honest, I wasn't much of a patty fan. It took me a while to warm up to her, as she was often times more quiet than some of the other people that scott has worked with. After the boisterous and fun Naomi, for instance :). but if scott is indeed going to wor, he might very well request patty. If memory serves, they worked with each other before WPLJ, and I think that's why he brought her in when naomi left.
