Ducting over the Persian Gulf

104.1 Radio One, out of Dubai and 107.9 Studio 2 from Safinayah/Tanajib, KSA heard in Kuwait City this evening, about two hours ago, while driving home from work.

107.9 is one of the frequencies in use by AFRTS in Kuwait as well as one of the popular FM modulator frequencies for playing into FM radios, so Studio 2 has to have a pretty good signal into Kuwait to be audible.

Think he said, Kuwait City. That's gotta be an interesting place to DX from.

Radio One on 104.1 MHz from Dubai, coming into Kuwait City this evening, not the best signal I've heard, but very listenable in the truck.

Nothing from Studio 2 on 107.9.

Interestingly, 104.3, AFRTS News Channel programming from Camp Arifjan, very good signal NW of Kuwait City this evening. Wonder if they've gotten the TX power back up.

More ducting in the Middle East into Kuwait.

107.9 Studio 2 from Safinayah/Tanajib, KSA heard in Kuwait City this morning, quite strong signal, overriding AFRTS from Camp Arijfan.

104.2, Your FM, from Bahrain, running Hindi programming, quite strong signal as well. Almost nothing on 104.1 from Dubai.

High 90s, 51% humidity at the house this morning.
