It was the aurora conditions. Last night loads of eastern stuff was wiped out, replaced with Northern and Central CA. I was picking up graveyarders as far out as 750 miles (KPRL-1230 Paso Robles), and a possible 250 watter from Sonora, XEMW 1260 from San Luis Rio Colorado (near Yuma AZ). Not surprised Chicago didn't make it and WCBS was very weak.

My guess for 810-870 at your QTH would be WGY and WWL as "bookends" WCCO, WHAS, and CJBC in the middle. I'm also a little surprised CFZM wasn't in there on 740.
 
He's right. You could barely hear the Chicago groundwaves. Later yesterday night, I heard Radio Reloj on 870, with WWL interference barely audible in the background. Did anyone on the Eastern half of the US see the Aurora in the last few days? I looked out last night, but didn't see anything interesting here in Michigan.
