Mystery on 810 KHZ

Tonight I heard what I believe to be ZNS3 Freeport Bahamas for a very brief period about 8:34 PM. Lasted less than a minute, and was gone, with WGY, then the Indy Spanish station taking over.

The host was talking with a woman who I assumed had called in. Her audio was distorted, but the male host was clear and it was obvious he had the accent of an English speaking Caribbean male.

Anyone know it the 810 frequency is yet being used? Are they non directional?

The

Hard Core DX reports an IRCA member heard this on the 26th in Maylene, AL.

"Conditions to the South must be improved the last couple of night. ZNS3 810 KHz an easy log here tonight around 9:45 PM Central time on the car radio. Heard Calypso style music, followed by local ad for Freeport business. "

This is listed elsewhere as 1 kw non-D, but the station site says it is 10 kw.

Thanks. No I.D., and their web site is all about the TV side, with no listing of the 810 frequency.

Times like these, I wish I had bought an SDR.

Look at the station history article. At the bottom it gives the AM, FM and TV facilities.

Hey, Icangelp....
I had to go to your Profile to find where you are located. Cincinnati from the Bahamas ain't bad at all.
Can you add your location to your visible profile? We should all do that if we are using the DX forum. Sure makes it more fun that way.

Done. Thanks. Didn't know I could do that.
