Not exactly breaking news to some of you, but Rich Phillips is leaving the Ticket to become the voice of Texas Motor Speedway. His last day at the station will be Friday morning. Gonna be strange not hearing him quacking out the extended ticker first thing in the morning after what, 15 years.

With TC and now Rich leaving, that's two fairly notable departures in the last month or so. Good luck to both of them.

I heard the "farewell" segment at 8:40 this morning. Rich said he's keeping the SMU gig.

Rich has been laid off from TMS due to the downturn from the pandemic. He tweeted that he will continue with SMU football.
