Bubba To WRSO

Bubba The Love Sponge returning to the Orlando market via CBS Sports Radio 810 starting Monday.

Ironically, co-host Shannon Burke was on WEUS when he made his radio comeback, way back when. With 810's track record, I can't help but see this as just another flash in the pan.

They're firing up FM translator 93.1 which appears to be broadcasting from the SunTrust building in downtown. Original WMMO antenna?

Why? How many times does Bubba have to fail in this market?

How small can you slice the pie? Way too many Sports stations, not only in Orlando, but everywhere. Having a local host that is known is a plus, but the format is on too many stations. Two sports stations in any market is enough.

I did notice that Shannon Burke is a co-host on Bubba's show now. And he also does his own show afterwards on that radio-io service that Bubba's also involved with. I never pursued listening to him on that service though. It's nice to hear Shannon will be back in Orlando. I miss those days of Shannon and Kevin on WTKS. Those two had great chemistry together ( I used to call in and win contests there), and later Shannon on WEUS. I'll have to give it a try, but generally if I'm listening to the radio in the mornings, it's Howard Stern on Sirius. I wonder if WRSO will subscribe to Arbitron now.

Oh Yes...

Its another great step in the history of broadcasting!

Come people....watch and listen as radio continues to circle the drain.

No, the WMMO antenna was removed long ago. The new antenna is directional with a figure 8 pattern, but appears to cover pretty well due to height and centralized location.

Shannon already gone

As I'm sure you know now, he's already left BTLS to concentrate on his pseudo-show on radioio.com
