Stations that start with the letter 'K' (KNBC, KCBS)

That's going to be quite a few considering stations begin with either a K or a W in the US. I think you missed a few LA stations. That being said, in Philly we have KYW and KJWP.

not to mention all the translator stations out there. Good god Minnesota has a boatload of translator stations in some weird spots (due to the Minneapolis DMA being huge)

I can think of only two east of the Mississippi; besides KYW there's KDKA in Pittsburgh. You're more likely to find stations whose call letters begin with W west of the Mississippi, for example (besides WCCO):

WFAA/8 Dallas-Fort Worth
WOAI/4 San Antonio
WDAF/4 Kansas City
WOWT/6 Omaha
WIBW/13 Topeka
WOI/5 and WHO/13 Des Moines
WDIO/10 Duluth, MN
WDAY/6 Fargo, ND and satellite WDAZ/8 Devils Lake, ND

Bonus points for the Des Moines market with 2 "three-toes" to boot. (Although I still think Iowa State Univ. might want their WOI-TV calls retired)

And once upon a time, Iowa also had WMT/2 Cedar Rapids and WOC/6 Davenport. I'm going to say Iowa hadthe most three toe "W" tv calls west of the big river.

The purpose of this thread was a jab at the other thread, Stations with 2 of the same letters in their call sign.

Wow. It seemed more like just more of the same inane BS. I was beginning to think the only purpose of this forum was obscure, meaningless drivel.

I have a feeling that this joke topic of yours left some bad impressions on some unregistered users of this message board.

I blame how slow the actual smart people are coming back after the shutdown. (I only came back because I got a birthday e-mail and wondered how the site could send me that from beyond the grave.)
