Barsky's in the Big Apple

Remember Paul Barksy? He got his start in Rochester radio at WVOR, WHFM and WBBF in the 70s.

Later, he did mornings in Philadelphia, Chicago and other major markets. He was seriously injured in an auto accident while doing PM drive on a West Palm Beach AM talk station and has been off the air for months recovering.

Found out today, he's a "guest host" on mornings at Clear Channel's WOR-AM 710 in NYC this week. Sounds like an audition to me. Good luck, Paul!

I've read a lot of speculation about Clear Channel, and how they don't like to spend money or hire talent. They could easily have run one of their syndicated morning shows, or simply moved someone from WLW or one of their other talk stations. But they're really taking their time, auditioning anyone and everyone for this gig.

Are you forgetting the "Elliott in the Morning" experiment a few months ago?

Granted, I believe that was a place holder after the Shannon talks fell through.
