John Oliver Spurs FCC Complaints

HBO's John Oliver got his viewers riled up about the FCC's net neutrality proposal:

Comedian John Oliver, on his HBO show "Last Week Tonight" Sunday, railed against the FCC's net neutrality plan and urged viewers to post comments on the FCC's website. By mid-afternoon Tuesday, more than 3,000 comments had been posted (triple the normal traffic), and the FCC website began "experiencing technical difficulties with our comment system due to heavy traffic." The FCC says it's not clear if the disruption was caused by Oliver's call to action.

Now if John Oliver can do the same to have the FCC mandate A La Carte Programming, I just might subscribe to HBO.
