Comcast Seeks To Replace GE At 30 Rock

A lone NBC peacock logo would be a better replacement for the letters.

I was there when they took the RCA letters off of the building and replaced them with GE. How many people can even remember that now?

I agree as well. I think a larger Peacock, possibly with NBC underneath would be better.

Slightly OT, but at one time Memphis had a bank called National Bank of Commerce, which eventually became a part of Sun Trust Bank, that had a logo that looked similar to the old NBC Snake logo on their downtown Memphis building. Maybe the 2nd Comcast bldg in Philly will get the logo when they build it right next door.

Your description of the logo for the National Bank of Commerce reminded me of the time the National Broadcasting Company (the NBC with the peacock logo) had a logo shaped like the letter "N" that was similar to a logo that Nebraska Educational Television had adopted years earlier that got them sued due to their similarities (the National Broadcasting Company settled the lawsuit out of court by donating television equipment and $50,000 cash to Nebraska Educational Television in exchange for the right to continue using their own "N" logo).

But I'm almost certain that the TV network had the logo before the bank, and the bank's logo is just different enough that it didn't get them in legal trouble.

I did not imply the bank had a logo that resembled a snake and the letters "NBC" before the National Broadcasting Company had their own logo that resembled a snake and the letters.
