KSCA Programming Executive Found Cheating Nielson

http://sfvbj.com/news/2014/jun/16/glendale-radio-station-employee-fired-scandal/

Nielsen Holdings N.V. is revising its ratings for April and delaying the release of its May ratings for Los Angeles stations because of the actions of the unidentified employee at KSCA-FM (101.9.) KSCA is owned by Univision Radio, a division of Univision Communications Inc., in New York.

Nielsen said on Monday that the employee misrepresented himself to become part of a sample audience and reported that he had been listening to KSCA, according to a story from the Associated Press.

Perhaps David can provide some enlightening analysis?

I suspect that even if he can, he can't, because he has a consulting contract with Univision and that would likely be considered proprietary information.

And we all thought Piolin was a problem.

So Mandril had nothing to do with the ratings delay?

From RBR... this site's affiliated publication:

"There are two households in Los Angeles that are unrelated. The first one was announced last week, was the cause of the data delay, and was not media affiliated. That household was removed because it did not meet Nielsen’s quality standards. Today’s announcement is about a media-affiliated household (with Univision). It is being removed from the data, as well. But the cause of the initial delay was the first, non-media-affiliated household. Today’s announcement is not delaying the data any further, Nielsen is simply announcing why a 2nd house had to come out of the panel:

It should not be that difficult to figure out which "programming executive" was employed there last week but is curiously no longer employed there this week.

David, how do you think the removal of the tainted PPMs will affect the ratings of KSCA's "El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo" morning show? Raul Molinar, Silvia del Valle and Andres Maldonado have worked together since December 2013 and had the #2 morning show in the May ratings. When the ratings are compiled from the PPM data, how many listeners does each PPM represent? Is it a large enough number that a station's rating could rise or fall significantly when two PPMs are thrown out?
