Ted David gives up moderating the NY History Message Board

Hi all,

It's been almost 5 years and just over 2.3 million accesses since Allan put thhe NYBHB on line. I was honored to be asked to moderate it and have been honored ever since.

Because I travel a whole lot, and spend half the year away from home down south, I am not able to give the Board the attention it deserves and I have asked Allen to relieve me of my moderator duties. He has graciously and reluctantly agreed.

Thanks to all for your posts, your enthusiastic participation and your kind words during my tenure.

Best wishes to whomever takes over. It's a fun Board and a great place to compile the history of the business we love in the market we love.

Have a great summer!

Since there are no quotation marks in the original post above we must assume that TTalkradio1 is Ted David. Clarification?

I posted this on my own board. How it got here, I'm not sure. All I know is I got a Google alert that my name had appeared here.

And no, it's not news,as the Board will remain.

Ted David

Evidently the NYBHB is not associated with this forum or system..ttalk, when posting a msg from someone else, it is usual procedure to put quotes or highlight the text so it is shown as someone else's and not yours..otherwise, the msg does imply you are td as it is posted...

Even though you can go on the NYRHB, and see the same message?

Putting remarks in quotes lets the reader know it is not you saying it, but that you are quoting someone else. It is proper writing etiquette.

People will not necessarily visit the source you are writing about, even when you post the link. Quoting also allows you to comment on the quote itself and not confuse the reader as to who is "speaking".
