Today I resigned from HOT97. I am grateful to the Emmis family for my time with the company and the immeasurable way that it has shaped my life. We made history together in so many ways and I will cherish those memories and my friendships forever. This was one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make but ultimately it is time to move on, to grow and to be challenged in new ways. Saying goodbye is always emotional and bitter sweet but I am extremely excited about the future. Thank you HOT97 and most importantly....the listeners... for an unimaginable journey. If I put any money up then I think she will be WFAS. If it's WFAS then it will be Old School Hip-Hop & R&B! She's not an R&B DJ. NYC doesn't need 2 R&B stations. If she wants to reach the younger audience then I think it will be Power 105. But she has a brand and I think she'll still do good no matter what. Thats a very big blow to Hot 97. Ebro renamed the hot 97 morning show to The ebro show. Chuck D getting dissed by Peter Rosenburg and ebro because he said Summerjam was a sloppy mess. Hot 97 is setting themselves up for failure.
 
Hot 97 is a Hot Mess. The station lacks in everything from music mix, to creativity to the extremely lame self-promoting DJ's

Ebro is the man at the helm of the sinking ship. He is like the Obama of radio
 
Look for CC to put most of the Power 105 lineup on all of its Urban's as they use 105.1 for a national hip-hop Format for the company
 
As mentioned above, it applies in this case as Angie will be heard in middays on Miami's 103.5 WMIB (Urban Contemporary) while being heard from 2pm-6pm in NYC. Wonder if she'll do two full shows or will either show contain "repurposed" material from the other show (a la Ryan Seacrest)? or will one be primarily voicetracked?

A casualty of these moves is Cherry Martinez who will no longer be heard in the 10am-2pm slot on Power 105.1:
