Mix 106.1

Originally this frequency was to be a simulcast of WABY, the AM standards station from Mechanicville. Again, the consultants and radio owners diss the over 50 crowd. They think baby boomers throw away their FM radios when they get old. I am so damn sick of it. I have lots more money to spend than those Gen X kids who don't even listen to terrestrial radio anymore.
 
Not impressed with the mix. Should have put WABY or an Urban A/C on the signal.

You mean 101.3 ...
The signal is also being simulcast on 1160 putting an end to the standards that have been a mainstay of that frequency for decades!
 
WABY, now COL Watervliet NY, 900 AM and the standards are alive and well broadcasting 400 watts days from an attachment on their original stick in the city of Albany(now WAMC Albany). The signal is more centrally located for the Capital Region.

mix 106 would of been great for a smooth r&b and classic soul station with tom joyner in the mornings...that's what this area needs...

The Capital District needs a smooth r&b and classic soul station and think mix 106.1 would of been great...we have enough 80s 90s pop stations here...there a need for r&b oldies with tom joyner in the morning.

i agree 100% the albany ny area needs a r&b classic soul station.

Dear Unregistered, you must be the same person who keep requesting Tom Joyner. I'll tell you this, #notgonnahappen.
It's just not. Mix is fine to me, it's filling to void left when PopCrush had the 90s format a few years ago. When they switched to their format now, people complained.
