Randy Thomas hijacked thread

Certainly makes plenty of sense. Maybe she got her SHE's mixed up.:) Heard Randy T on ET also, Seems she's many places all over the media spectrum.

I'm going to change the subject for a moment; I was wondering if you perhaps may lend a hand regarding Radionomy.

Currently, I've recently created a Free account at Radionomy, I would like to invent my own radio station called BIG106

I see that Radionomy offers a library of music to pick and choose from, Radionomy will rotate the song titles I've chosen randomly which is great because I can use their music files not my own.

Radionomy will provide me with a URL named BIG106 and Presto! I now have my own radio station named BIG106 Wow, that was easy. However, I'm stuck and frustrated on 2 points of concern and seek your Radionomy tech support wisdom.

1. What happens if Radionomy closes down and discontinues to provide you and I with free content to claim as our own radio station(s)?
2. How am I going to convince the public that my radio creation named BIG106 is Real?

I ask for your tech support because I've noticed that you have countless free radio station accounts on Radionomy that were once FM stations.

How did you convince people that Radionomy isn't just a automated jukebox labeled with a free provided URL ?

Looking forward to your reply Mr Michaels.

First let me clear up your statement on the original SHE online. We started SHE in 1999 with Corey James and Robin Martin from SHE 103.5 Fort Lauderdale and the website you talk about came online 10 years later. It is easy to check a website history my friend. From what I understand they started as a pirate FM and no one is from the real 103.5. Our staff is all from the real SHE 103.5 Fort Lauderdale. So who is the original SHE online? We are & our history is public.
By the way we do not have to say OUR name BACKWARDS as we are the real www.SheRadio.com & www.SouthFloridaRock.com We know about all the other SHE copy cats. The website you are talking about is not the only one. But that just shows you how much 103.5 Fort Lauderdale was loved. Our She is also the first station in the South Florida Radio Network which is now up to 20 online stations from real South Florida Broadcasters. Your next topic radionomy, we have been with them since their start. SHE and our other stream American Rock And Roll are radionomy flagship stations. We do not use their music the way you are thinking or their free webpage. We use them these days as a relay station for our live streams and do not depend on them. There are others also like them like radioloyalty and more. But radionomy has been good to us. We like being in their directory as our other stream AmericanRockAndRoll.com is based there as they are very big in the UK. We are also on many other platforms and web radio outlets. We started many years ago on wavestream, live365 and our own servers. We know they offer as you say a way to make you own station with their music like a jukebox. There is much more to do then just start a stream with internet radio. We market, program and run our stations just like the stations we used to work for. Again, we are all from real radio. That is our only rule for our local network stations. We sponsor this Miami Radio Board (ad above) and also own and run www.radiotributes.com. If you have more questions you may email me at [email protected]. Thanks for your questions and interest in internet radio.

My Gosh, all I asked for was a little tech support on creating my own free internet station, using free accounts with Radionomy because I've noticed that you have multiple account name extensions that Radionomy provides you with.
Was hoping you'd answer my questions about Radionomy, I was not interested in your paragraph of excuses and riddles.
I will revert back to my previous question(s) please.
1. What happens if Radionomy closes down and discontinues to provide you and I with free content to claim as our own radio station(s)?
2. How am I going to convince the public that my radio creation named BIG106 is Real?

I also peek at your Directory on each account name that you invent on Radionomy, and I was disappointed to see either 0 or 5 people logged onto your Radionomy accounts on overall average. Can you explain?
If you'd like I am able to post this data into this forum, if you're not clear on this subject.
Looking forward to your reply

My comments are just facts. If they close down you would go somewhere else it is that simple.
I do not understand your comment about people logged on. People do not log in.
There is a BIG difference from a FREE RMO radionomy station like you are talking about and a flagship station like SHE and AmericanRockAndRoll.com Contact radionomy direct with your free station questions and please pick a better name for your station your not going to be at 106 on the dial as a web station.

If you have more questions please use my email or the internet radio section of this website.
This board is for Miami Radio and I do not want to tie it up for internet radio start up information.

Good luck to you.

Thought you might be able to help with my questions regarding Radionomy.
I will not trouble you further with starting up a free Radionomy account names.

I’ve failed to inquire as to why you would use a 3rd party free playlist that Radionomy offers, as opposed to your own independent music library?

All the Flagship stations that you own, I would think that you would have your own database and a computer to stream each individual stream. / Therefore, I’ve learned that Radionomy streams it for you and provide free playlists and entire ball of wax for free.

I really don’t want to sound silly here but old folks like me have to learn this new concept, for I have been out of FM radio for awhile now.

Yes, thank you, I have contacted Radionomy Support Team and they have advised me that Radionomy will provide free music to choose from, they offer many different playlists, they offer up to 100 listeners Free of charge at a 128kb stream, and of course a free URL with my invented radio name at the end of URL.

Regarding ‘Logging-On’ to all of your free Radionomy radio stations.
I meant that I couldn’t help but notice the listeners that are tuned in to most all of your Radionomy radio station account names.
I was disappointed to only notice a very small handful of listeners that are currently ‘tuned in’

I see that Radionomy has posted all of your station name accounts on the IceCast Server Directory.
Here are the results that are posted publicly to name a few, the other station names indicate account deletion.

96X radio Station http://dir.xiph.org/search?search=96x 96XRadio.com [6 LISTENERS]
SHE RADIO STATION http://dir.xiph.org/search?search=She [0 LISTENERS]
ZETA RADIO STATION http://dir.xiph.org/search?search=Zeta [0 Listeners]
Love Jazz Radio Station http://dir.xiph.org/search?search=LoveSmoothJazz.Com [25 Listeners]
WMYQ RADIO STATION http://dir.xiph.org/search?search=WMYQ-DBcom [0 LISTENERS]

Elmer,

We do not use them the way you are talking about. Our music comes from us not them. We have our own servers and database and we do not use icecast for our main streams. I advised you of this in my first message to you that we use them as a relay. We are also on all the other big webcast platforms as well as our own servers. By the way Radionomy owns shoutcast. So they are not going anywhere.

Are you still in Radio on AM? If so, where at? As for FM, what stations have you worked on air at, during what years at them and under what name(s)?

Yes Sir, you are Restricted Only to Icecast Version2 Server, You do not use your own server. I know this for two reasons,
#1 You could not afford nor support the bandwith from your proximity
#2 The IP address's that PingBack to Each and every name account that you have created all ping back to a Static Server IP Outside the USA.
You dont use a server from your location, You only use a Streamer Module when you go LIVE and then Relay-Back from Radionomy.
I have educated myself to a degree these past 18 hours..:)
ShoutCast was purchased by AOL many moons ago, from what I researched.
Thank you for your reply, but I expected more.

Lets me put it to you this way, South Fla since I began my career at WEDR 99.1 When It was Progressive Rock.
You Don't need my name or title, but I've probably either taught or fired you over the past 40 years :) ( true)

Elmer,

Asked you in a nice way to email questions or respond in the internet radio board. Why are you being rude? Sorry your research is wrong again. For the last time your looking at our relays my friend for those streams. With your broadcast history you should know what a relay is.. We have many streams. Why don't you take a look at our Coast Radio station at www.CoastRadio.us or www.FloridaCoastRadio.com By the way Gnarly Charlie will be doing a special 4th of July Retro blowout party - All Weekend on Coast.

Much luck on your freebie station let's talk again when you are ready to spend a few bucks.

The only point you are right about is bandwidth is not cheap. By the way WEDR in those old days was a real dump and you know it.

I will reply to your post Frankly with Curt manner without being Rude, just flew in from NC and my flight was delayed, I’m a bit tired you understand.
Thank you, I’ve successfully created my own little Radionomy station for fun.
I will dispense my little extension name to a few mates only, it’s all in fun.
No, I did Not use BIG106 name, I’ve left that for you to copy when BIG105.9 shuts down. lol

1)This is a public posting forum, I shall inquire & share publicly

2)I have no desire to privately correspond nor chat with you outside the forum

3) you suggest I am being Rude, I will suggest that you choose your battles carefully

4)Regarding your ‘Relay’ Are you aware what Relays actually do?

5)I really do not wish to speak condecending nor school you publicly.

6)You Do-Not have your own Server, You Do Not Serve Your Own Music

7)You would need Multi Tiers that would run you near $10,000 + a month for 16 different stations. Your Server(s) would have to be maintained by a professional monthly, not to mention the autohacks and DDoS that you would encounter almost weekly. From the looks of your webpages, you are not in a position, Hence Radionomy is your only option.

8)Radionomy provides you with All of your music, and file database

9)Radionomy streams their music to Icecast2 server, Not You.

10) Radionomy simply offers you a port and allows you to name it whatever you want.

11)I just noticed that you have over 16 free accounts that you’ve created with Radionomy, Each account I see you’ve attached your little custom radio names.

12)Radionomy Owns and provides All of your playlist and music database for your custom named radio stations
If the name is available, Radionomy uses the avail name and inserts as an extension to the syntax and Poof Your little radio stations are born 

I also keep noticing that you have a habit of pasting urls to web pages into these forums .

Do you own all these web pages? Do you take credit for these pages as Flagship-Heritage radio staions?
If so, have you considered Websites as opposed to WebPages?

You clearly are earning peanuts if anything at all, if you’re trying to pimp your pages as ecommerce friendly.
Your pages seem less than amateur with graphics that my grand daughter would have created in 1990’s . MYSPACE is over, no more copy-n-paste code into a field to make your graphics come alive Alan  *wink*
Hint: If you’re going to use free graphic Gif maker, creator sites, at least remove the proprietor advertisement.
This can be achieved using a basic html editor.

When I look at your code source files on each of your pages, I see where your webmaster leaves you little messages outside of HTML script.
Be careful Not to color outside of the lines lol.

I’ve also noticed that you seem to enjoy dropping names of air talent from days gone by, I certainly hope that they have granted permission

In case you might be wondering how I know what I’ve outlined .
I left radio over 15 years ago to further my education.

I dabble in computer development, programming, framing and currently struggling with this new Linux software that’s kicking my hiney 

WEDR was not as bad as WBUS. That’s another short story.

Alan, have you ever considered getting a job? Just a thought  *wink*

Elmer,

Folks in this board do not like internet radio talk here so that is why I keep asking you to respond in the internet radio room where this kind of talk should be so this is my last response to you in this room my friend and I sponsor this board so can you please stick to the rules of this website.

What you do not understand is we webcast with more platforms and other ways then just radionomy and I have said that over and over. Yes we own all the urls listed on our sites (Hundreds of them) and all of the local named talent that is on our stations are either part of our network or station they are on or have given the ok to run their custom made stuff for us. We have been at this for over 20 years. By the way it's none of your business but I have a job and going back and forth with you on here is not part of it. Please get your facts right before we speak again.

Keep Rocking!
