Lol, well yeah there is CBS-FM to take into consideration, but how much of that is CBS not trying to do anything else to upset New Yorkers with regards to the heritage 101.1 dial position?
I guess I'm just more partial towards Cox for bringing a classic hits format to town, since I know how good KONO-FM is, and that several of the longtime "classic Top 40" voices that are known well in this market, already work for Cox Houston.
One thing about Cox Radio, at least as far as Houston goes, they've certainly found their foothold in this market and each of their 3 stations here sound top notch.
Not exactly sure what changed over the past couple of years, but someone within the Cox Houston family woke up. They get it now, and operate the cluster with a little swagger and confidence, and it shows in what's coming across the air these days at 92-9, 97-1, and 106-9.
Now, if they'd have just given "The Zone" a chance, we wouldn't be talking about how bad The Buzz is these days because, well, there likely wouldn't be a Buzz to speak of, but I digress, lol.
