Fox Halts Production on Naked Dating Show Pilot

One of the problems when a generation that grew up with cable TV is now producing TV shows for broadcast. Slightly different rules. Just the thought of people walking around naked, even if you can't see anything, is enough to cause groups to demand licenses to be revoked. Whoops. There are groups who are still very opposed to the number of TV shows on broadcast networks that revolve around gay characters. Even with their clothes on.

I don't even think it's a generational problem, it's just FOX. They air controversial shows just to generate ratings. I'm actually surprised they put the kibosh on this one.

The affiliates probably heard about it and objected.

The real problem with these naked shows (and there are a couple of them now on Discovery) is the plots are awful, and you don't see anything. So it's bad TV without any sex.

It strikes me that these naked reality shows would be huge if they aired on Cinemax. Although they already run a lot of naked dramas. And they wouldn't have to block the naughty bits.
