Is "Rising Star" not live in the Pacific time zone?

When networks advertise their shows, you usually see "9/8C", but I saw "9/8C/7M" for this one. I remember hearing that they were going to air this live everywhere so everyone could vote at the same time.

Nope, it's on tape delay in the Pacific.
There's a separate vote tablature when it airs in the West.

The vote ends up roughly the same as the previous East Coast voting (+/- ~3-5%) but the West coast have pushed acts through that didn't make the cut in the other 3 time zones. Josh cuts in live at points just before the hard commercial breaks for a brief summary of what acts the West could push through to the next round based on their voting percentages.

All in all though Rising Star should just be called Falling Flat because its ratings are in the cellar. The show itself isn't particularly good, the judges contradict themselves and flat out show favoritism (especially Kesha). Besides, it's a foregone conclusion that Jessie will win. No one will come close to taking him down. Wrap it up, show's over.
