Who was your first childhood TV "crush?"

Re: Who was your first childhood TV \

It's been long enough, so I'm gonna dig in.

My first childhood TV crush? Dawn Hayes. She was the host of the Lottery Live show here in Massachusetts from 1989 to 2004. I know it's unusual, but I was always obsessed with numbers, and any show that involved numbers, and the spinning wheels. Here's a clip:

If I were entering puberty today I think Zooey Deschanel would be a leading contender. ;)

Robin Morgan ("Mama") and Sheila James ("The Stu Erwin Show").

Ah Freddie! "Sheila James Kuehl is an American politician, and a former child actress. She most recently served as a Democratic member of the California State Senate, representing the 23rd district in Los Angeles County and parts of southern Ventura County."

She basically quit acting when the studio's "discovered" she was a lesbian. I saw her just the other day on "McHale's Navy" and she was a little doll - not quite 5' tall. She was also on Dobie Gillis earlier in her career. She went on to become a politician in California and has done rather well in that career.

As long as we're on Little House on the Prairie, Alison Arngrim as Nellie Oleson was a love/hate
attraction/repulsion object for many, including me.

Awful attitude, but there was something attractive beyond the blonde curls,
more interesting than just mere pretty. Trouble, to be sure, but interesting if you could just get past the surface.

I saw an interview with Allison not too long ago where she talked about her book "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch". She was very interesting and still quite good looking. Great personality which wasn't used at all on the program.

I know who she is and what's she's done later in life. Pay attention. The question was "who was my first childhood crush?" And that was before she done any of that other stuff. The Stu Erwin Show ran from 1950-1955. Robin Morgan was on "Mama" from 1949 - 1956.

After that, my next crush was Darlene Gillespie.

For the record, Robin Morgan became a radical feminist poet. Both are lesbians and LGBT activists. Fortunately for me, there are some straight artsy tomboys around.

And Obama has revealed he had a crush on Linda Ronstadt. She went with Jerry Brown instead.

Susan Richardson (yup the one that went crazy) and Laurie Walters on "Eight is Enough"
Donna Pescow on "Angie"
Maureen McCormack, Elizabeth Montgomery, and Tina Louise from shows you all know
and the one that always gets a "her..really?" response when I mention it, Bonnie Franklin on "One Day at a Time"

Does the person with the name "Obama" have more than one name or is that his only name?

He's never worked in broadcasting and used an air name. Unless, like you, he comes on message boards with a fake name, "Obama" is his only and real name.

Were you trying to make some kind of pointless point?

A: You mean he only has one name, like Cher?

B: No, that's your job.

Apparently it's yours and you don't want anybody else horning in. I know you think you're funny while you're being pointless but you're not.

No, it was a serious question and I don't believe you provided a serious answer.
