Me TV Fall Schedule Announced

I agree. No Dragnet though, at least in the afternoons.

They currently run Dragnet at midnight. Not the real, film noir Dragnet ("My partner's Frank Smith"). The cheesy, drug lecture and police PR film Dragnet ("My partner's Bill Gannon").

Sadly, the film noir Dragnet was not very well looked after. A handful of episodes circulate in public donain, but the majority may be indeed lost forever :(*

Many of those that have been saved are prints for syndication as "Badge 714." Fortunately, however, the radio series fared better and most episodes are available online. The great majority of 50s TV scripts were adapted from the radio show. Reportedly, Jack Webb did not want to appear in the TV version of Dragnet but wanted to concentrate on producing and directing. He wanted Lloyd Nolan to take over the part on TV but NBC insisted.

I realize they air it at Midnight, Fred, hence why I added, 'at least in the afternoons'.

I like the late 60s Dragnet as much or more than the earlier incarnation. Pretty good fall schedule for ME.

(This reply was posted in order to refute any further unnecessary quoting of a previous post... looking at you, Mr. Leonard.)

For me Me TV is at its best in early mornings and prime time, unfortunately I don’t get to see them because WBBJ in Jackson, TN STILL hasn’t made it a full time subchannel yet, and act like they have no interest in doing it. All we get is 3 or 4 hours a day when there isn’t CBS programming or local news.
