Houston-Galveston: http://ratings.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb033

Next report will be for the September 2014 survey period covering Thu. 8/14/14-Wed. 9/10/14.
Data release date will be Mon. 9/29/14.

Note that KUHF and KTRH are virtually tied in the News/Talk competition.

KTSU has sure come out of nowhere. Jazz-heavy format doubles what Classical draws on KUHA.

Univision cannot be happy about KQBU. Maybe 93.3 should consider Ranchera? Of course we can't see how the Liberman stations are doing.

6+ (or even 12+) is not a true showing of how well stations are doing....if we could see the actual demos, that would show...but the "general" ratings mean nothing...

Time for KBXX to switch to classic rap hiphop r&b 80s 90s 2000 to 2002. KBXX use to be 1 or 2 now they are #5 that is not a good sign
Move new stuff of the last 3 or 4 yrs to there HD channel

KBXX has done very well considering that they have a new competitor in the market. And their billing is at the highest level since the pre-PPM era in 2006.

KBXX is #1 in 18-34 and 18-49, which is all that matters. The 12+ ranking is never looked at by ad buyers.

Considering that Liberman sold its "La Ranchera" station in LA, there is not much future in that format. In fact, what they call "La Ranchera" is just a regional Mexican format without the currents... very little ranchera music and lots of norteña and banda.

KILT-FM (The Bull) continues to fall. Btw, I noticed there is a new billboard for 100.3 The Bull on the 610 West Loop going southbound near San Felipe.

KILT FM should fill the classic hits hole in Houston.
Wouldn't that be wonderful! KILT-FM returns playing classic hits from the Mid 60's to 80's. That would definitely take some listeners away from The Eagle 106.9/107.5
There is a CBS-owned classic hits station that launched in Orlando in 2008 that is a huge success. Here's a link that I found which is the day that station was launched. http://youtu.be/JZ1kmoGoH0Q

KILT is in the historical range for the station in 18-49, and is the #6 billing station in the market. Why would you want to change one of the most successful stations in the market?

David, can you look at the ratings history for KILT-FM for the past 20 years? I noticed that the station's ratings dropped slowly since they were re-branded as 100.3 The Bull a few years ago. thanks

Remember, there was a reset in Houston when the dairy method gave way to the PPM.

There is a 25 year ratings summary through 2002 at http://www.americanradiohistory.com/Duncan-Market-by-Market-History.htm and up to 2008 at http://www.americanradiohistory.com/RandR-Ratings-Directories.htm

Both of these have demo rankers.

KQBT is doing pretty well. Although I wonder if being around 4.0 is what iHeartMedia (old CC) is looking for?
