Is Fox's 'Utopia' The New Season's First (Epic) Fail?

....and the Fox bar lowers itself even further.

Usually my local Fox morning show seizes every opportunity to advertise other Fox shows but they haven't touched this one. Wonder why?

Most people (and much less only 15) just can't make their own civilization nowadays. Probably 300 years ago but not in 2014-2015.

(pardon me if you do not like the following message)

I would have used the word "failure" rather than "fail" if I were the author of the article from MediaPost since I believe "fail" is better off as a verb rather than as a noun like "failure".

How big a failure is this?

The average Big Brother (2014 & 2015), and Survivor goes about 13 weeks. The average Big Brother (before 2013) and Amazing Race runs 11 weeks. Utopia ran 8 weeks from series Breaker to the last straw.

Honestly, this failure was lucky it made it past the World Series which, if I recall correctly, pre-empted the episode the week before Trick or Treat.

And look what replaces this failure: the very show it replaced. Same-week repeats of MasterChef. Watch the kids attract a much more interested lot that can't get enough of Chef Ramsay.

One more thing: According to TV By The Numbers the last episode was seen by 1.56 million viewers. The week 4B episode had 1.52 million interested parties. Make of that what you will.

Using "fail" as a noun, especially in the term "epic fail" is a popular usage these days. - It will eventually go the way of "You go, girl," "My bad...," "Well, basically..., " and "I don't have enough band width..."(to mean "I'm too busy...")

These irritating sayings come into fashion and go out of fashion. I'm sure you know this. So get off your high horse, and get used to it, before your brain expodes.
