Update on Viper 100.7fm & Newstalk 1280 Transmitter...
To bring everybody up to speed,
Early Thursday Morning, Westplex Radio's Transmitter Site north of Troy took an amazingly powerful lightning strike, that basically destroyed every piece of electronic equipment within.
Since then, we have been working around the clock to get our stations back up and on the air. What we know is that due to the damage, over $100,000 worth of equipment was destroyed, and nearly 250 manhours will be required to fix the problems.
Several people have stepped up to help return us to the air and expedite the repairs.
We really want to thank John Davis at Troy Insurance, Mr Thompson and Gary Leifert at People's Bank & Trust for moving mountains for us.
Both the 1280 and 100.7 Streams will return this evening and our on-air signal should return before the end of next week.
Thank you for your well-wishes and your prayers during this disaster.
Sincerely,
John Scheper
