Was reading this post on another board about JCR and WFTL (wow, it’s a good read, tells you everything you need know), but I got curious and when surfing. Found this info that hasn’t been mentioned . . . .
Two Supreme Court of the State of New York County of New York “Memoradum of Law in Support of Plaintiff’ motion to appoint a post-judgement receiver.
There is one from 3/14/2013 and one from 7/30/2013. Just a piece of the one from 7/30/2013 says . . .
“The plantiffs have uncovered extensive and irrefutable evidence that the Defendants (James Crystal Radio) are operating their business with a total disregard for the Plantiff’s collateral, defendant’s own employees, and even the temporary restraining order entered by this court.”
And . . .
“Defendants operation of their business is haphazard, bereft of appropriate controls and thus confirms a probably likelihood that the stations (WFTL 850, WMEN 640, WFLL 1400) may ‘go dark’ and even stop broadcasting sufficiently to maintain the licenses . . . .”
And that’s just a tip of the ice berg to this 24 page document from 7/30/2013. I don’t see anything more recent than that online. Enjoy your read. BTW, there is a lively older discussion on this board, Radio Discussions, Bad times, sad times for WFLL 1400 the old WFTL with great info as well.
