jamz 96.3 is takin a serious beatin from hot 99.1,i remember when jamz 96.3 was on point when sugar bear was the pd, ever since sugar bear left that station jamz 96.3 has been whack playin pop music with rap music totally whack,that's why everyone is tunin to hot 99.1 they play that real hip hop r&b old school reggae music all day,hopefully one day jamz 96.3 will wake up and go back to hip hop and r&b or switch to a new format like a smooth r&b and classic soul station that way things would be balanced.

I usually lurk now and no longer really post, but I've got to respond. To "Guest", you must not listen to Jamz at all because you'll know Sugar Bear is indeed on Jamz 96.3. Sunday mornings. His son, Jaleel, formerly "Baby Bear" is the PD, which means Program Director for those playing at home:)

If Albany Broadcasting felt Jaleel wasn't running Jamz properly, he would be out. I don't know the current ratings of either station, but the last I knew Jamz was at the Top 10. Hot wasn't even "Warm"...

You are so rite jamz 96.3 is played out,Hot 99.1 is the it station now.
 
Maybe jamz 96.3 needs to try a new format.

JAMZ 96.3 Classic HIP HOP playin old school rap 24\7,2015 alot radio stations is changing to this new format-philly and atlanta already did.i think it would be great for jamz 96.3.it will be a big come back for jamz,because jamz 96.3 sucks rite now.

A #Philadelphia radio station reportedly tripled it's audience after switching to a classic #HipHop station.Jamz 96.3 needs to change it's format to hip hop classic,that's the new thing now,being that hot 99.1 is takin over the capital district airwaves.

it's a damn shame that jamz 96.3 so damn corny...hip hop and hits?who came up with that garbage...it suppose to be hip hop and r&b music...jamz 96.3 could be a great station if they cut the pop music and get rid of the corny Dawson McAllister that comes on sunday nite and on air corny Personality scott pank and d rock those guy make the station sucks.put on some real hip hop show and some real hip hop talent.

don't get me wrong dj iroc, dj tgif, danie b and full throttle radio makes the station jamz 96.3.but the rest of the djs-show are garbage.

Jamz 96.3 needs to change to a old school station that is what this area needs.
