I'm beginning to think that I've been blocked from WNBJ's Facebook page. All the comments I've made since I discovered them have been removed and I can no longer post comments. I've logged off and logged back on and it didn't help.
Most of my comments were on asking when they would be picked up by Charter, which I usually got a "We're working on it" response if there was one. I was always civil in my comments, but I did get more pointed in my questions of why aren't they trying to work things out with Charter as time went on. My most pointed comment was a couple of days back when I made the comment that I couldn't get them because of their low power and a lot of other people were having the same problem, and asked if they could PLEASE work something out with Charter. But again I was still civil in my comments. Since then it appears all my posts are gone, and I also noticed that another comment someone had made about being disappointed in their low powered signal that I responded to saying that this was why WNBJ needs to be on Charter disappeared as well. In looking through the page almost all the posts asking about Charter are gone. There was one time I asked about how things were going with Charter and I got a response that it wasn't going too well, but even that's gone now.
I'm beginning to think that WNBJ won't be on Charter any time soon and they're trying to act now like they don't exist or they don't want to make a deal with Charter themselves. But blocking me and others who want WNBJ on Charter isn't going to make it go away. Yet they still try to act on Facebook like they're a high power station that will reach all of West TN. People who live in Jackson and Madison County along with other areas where it's obvious are too far out have commented that they can't pick them up. They need to be honest and quit making themselves to be a higher power station than they actually are. I knew that my only chance to get them was on cable, but they apparently aren't making any more effort to get on Charter.
IF WNBJ's owners really want to increase their coverage they need to make a deal with an existing higher power station (Probably WJKT Fox 16) to carry them on a subchannel, and make a deal to get on Charter since they're the major cable system in the area. I don't know if they've even thought making a deal with WJKT, but they've apparently given up or were doing nothing to begin with to make a deal with Charter.
As it stands now WNBJ is just a low power station with very little or no coverage outside Jackson and Madison County. JEA and Dish only cover Madison County and maybe another surrounding county or two. They're a big disappointment to a lot of people who were hoping for more. I'd like to see someone from WNBJ respond to this but I doubt if it will happen.
