After "Guitar Man" by Bread, Jeff Rollins said a guitar man is coming up, but he's going to sing.
I don't know if he did. My kitchen clock radio comes on at 8:30 and this was shortly before 10. My station doesn't usually air commercials at 9:50 but today it did. Somehow I doubt Jeff would announce a song coming up during that break since a lot of stations don't play what's on then. There was a news break at 10. Again, I doubt he would do it for a song aired then, since a lot of stations have news. At 10:25 the clock radio had cut itself off and I still hadn't heard anything that I believe was Eric Clapton.
Has he done anything that would be considered a standard? The last song I heard was a true standard and it might possibly have been him, but Jeff does not mention songs or who did them unless they just finished playing or are starting, and this would not have been the last song before Jeff started talking again. Carl Hampton will tell us all three songs that were just played, if there were three, or both if there were two.
"Tears in Heaven" would fit the format even though it's not a true standard, but like I said I didn't hear it. The newer version of "Layla" is iffy.
