Scott Shannon on KRTH

We all know how just the mention of the KRTH call letters illicit a wide array of response and discussion. But why would Scott Shannons new syndicated program be slotted on both Saturday and Sunday mornings? Is one airing not enough? And in breaking from KRTHs past,is this the first time they've run a syndicated show hosted by a non KRTH personality ? What did they do with Charlie tunas weekend shift?

The "average listener" will never know the difference.

Is Charlie Tuna live on KRTH or is it his syndicated offering?

Many stations offer Casey Kasem's AT 40 of the 70's a couple times a weekend. Looks like KRTH is treating the Scott Shannon program the same way, offering listeners a couple of options to listen.

The KRTH website still lists Charlie's two weekend shows and no mention of Scott Shannon. When is Charlie on now?

Charlie Tuna is on Sundays 10am-2pm.

The Scott Shannon "America's Greatest Hits" Show aired on KRTH from 6am-10am on Sunday 11/2/14.
It was preceded by two hours of paid programming from 4am-6am.
There is no sign of it airing on Saturday 11/1/14 as the regular K-Earth playlist was in effect all day outside of 5am-7am (infomercials? other syndicated programming?)

While it says on the KEarth101.com site that Tuna's show airs from 6am-11am on Saturdays, this would be wrong as the station aired "something else" from 5am-7am (unless part of that time was a Charlie Tuna syndicated offering).

The website is a "hot mess" when it comes to the weekend schedule; there are conflicting/overlapping show times for the three DJs listed (Tuna, Sky Walker and Greg Simms). Allegedly, the schedule is thus:

Saturday:

Midnight-5am (in actuality; not listed on website) - ??? (unhosted?)
5am-7am (in actuality; not listed on website) - Paid programming
6am-11am - Charlie Tuna (as explained above, show could not have started until 7am at the earliest)
11am-4pm - Greg Simms
-OR-
11am-3pm - Sky Walker
3pm or 4pm-9pm - ???
9pm-Midnight - Greg Simms

Sunday

Midnight-4am (in actuality; not listed on website) - ??? (unhosted?)
4am-6am (in actuality; not listed on website) - Paid programming
6am-10am (in actuality; not listed on website) - Scott Shannon Presents "America's Greatest Hits"
10am-2pm - Charlie Tuna
2pm-7pm - Greg Simms
7pm-10pm (in actuality; not listed on website) - Sky Walker
10pm-1am or 2am or 3am (in actuality; not listed on website) - Dick Clark Presents Rewind with Gary Bryan

Monday

1am-5am (start time debatable depending on conclusion of "Rewind..." program) - Sky Walker

The overnight shift is either Maggie McKay. Or that guy they just hired from San Diego. The guy from Diego probably does weekend afternoon weekend drive.

Depending on which "guy from Diego" you're talking about (Greg Sims or Joe Rosati), Joe Rosati's shift is 8-midnight Saturday nights on KRTH.

I'm talking about Rosati. Thanks for correcting me. I appreciate it. Which means Maggie gets the lowest listeners overnight weekends.
