Q101.9 goes all Christmas

No kidding, I thought they usually flip just after thanks giving?

They used to, but that was before Christmas turned into such a commercial holiday. I refuse to support stations that switch this early, personally.

Well, for those Hispanics out there, the KYRQ 90.3 rimshot plays bilingual Christmas music through December 25th, along with their Spanish Christian talk programs. Most of the music's Spanish, though I have heard a few English songs.

Strange! Q101.9 went back to its normal AC playlist at 6 am Friday morning but tuning now(midnight), they are back to Christmas music.

Assuming this is a glitch with their system.

If you were listening online, you probably got diverted to another feed. iHeart does that with its streams in the overnight hours. If you were listening on-air, it seems weird to go back to format on Friday and back to Christmas music. I've heard of a few stations that will play Christmas music the weekend between Christmas and New Year's, but that's usually when Christmas falls earlier in the week.

A station in cleveland ohio mix 106.5 in 2010 was playing xmas music until dec/26/2010 the next day they stunted with literally anything later debut as 106.5 the lake playing variety hits!!

LOL still waiting for the day when we get a station that plays everything catchy from, perhaps, the 60's to today, with no boundaries. If it sounds good and upbeat, it should go on the air. I know the suited people in today's corporate radio world probably won't let that happen, but...

I don't usually listen to Q, but it's starting to sound exactly like Magic, the way you describe it. Just what we need. :p
