Comcast SportsNet Services Could Go Dark on Dish

Comcast's SportsNet regionals may be the next programming services to disconnect from Dish Network. NBC Sports Group, which operates the regional sports networks bearing its parent’s name, said the contracts for four of its RSNs will expire early next month, and it is concerned that renewals may not be reached in time to prevent blackouts.

Everybody's going after Dish. They may get a nice law suit out of this.

Comcast used an antiquated loophole to keep CSN Philadelphia off DirecTV for years. Roberts has a thing about satellite - or anybody or anything that gets in his way. Lets hope somebody accuses him of rape.

We as consumers like the ability to get our TV service from one place. The industry is trying to find ways to force us to buy it from lots of little places. In that way, they get to charge us more money. And it's not just TV that's heading this way. It's also music. People who own copyrights wants to control where we can access them. It's going to become more expensive, not less expensive, to get the content we want.

About a year ago my parents and myself had Dish, we didn't enjoyed it at all. It seemed like to me that every night at 7pm (just as soon as Wheel of Fortune would be over) my mother would be finding her show then the red light would go off. Plus on top of that they charged us extra for things we didn't even brought at all (like movies that are on Pay-Per-View) I'm so glad we got DirecTV.
