Eagles games on AM Radio

Now that Beasley owns 610 AM WTEL, what's going to happen with the Eagles games on AM? Will they move to KYW 1060 or WPHT 1210 AM or will they drop the games from AM and stick to airing them on 94 WIP?

The Eagles aren't moving anywhere.

That makes no sense for CBS to keep the Eagles games on the station they no longer own, 610 AM. I'm puzzled with what CBS is doing with its local sports contracts on the radio.

I guess the question was answered. Yesterday's game was on both WIP-FM and WTEL-AM. By the way, slightly off topic, I had to drive by the Linc yesterday on 95 at ~7pm on my way to and from NJ across the Walt. Is there always such a police presence near the stadiums blocking off highway exits to the stadium area after the game or, were they just trying to keep protesters' cars out of South Philly? And that's how I knew that the game was on both. If I was home, I'd be watching on FOX, in HD and Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and you feel like you're in the middle of the stadium.

Frequently, when stations are sold, Julius, any existing contracts also become the property of the new owner. It's all in the language used in the asset purchase agreement. Therefore, it would be possible for the Eagles to continue on 610, at least through the end of the season.

The heavy police presence is the norm at Eagles games. They "manage" the traffic flow in and out of the lots.

Better than they "manage" the mouth breathers in and around the stadium.

Will they change the stadium's name to "Entercom Field?"

I believe Entercom just bought the broadcasting arm from Linc. Financial Group. The naming rights will probably stay with the parent company.

radio-locator.com now lists 610 as WTEL.

So the Eagles network has two stations, their sticks 23 miles apart, and their COL's city halls 25 miles apart in a straight line per Google earth, both stations with similar calls. Confusing, no?
