Entercom/Lincoln

15 stations for $105 - at one time Jacor would have paid more than half that just for Lincoln's San Diego stations.

What kind of track record does Entercom have - are they one of those companies that fires lot of folks when they takeover a station?

How'd that work out for them? :)

In my opinion, Entercom is one of the few big companies that is devoted to live & local radio, and is likely to keep those stations pretty much as they are. They don't use a lot of syndication, they don't spend a lot on web sites or interactive, and they're pretty traditional as far as radio companies go.

Entercom is a good company, but it is very much a business and is run like one. In other words, they'll do their best to be nice to you and to be fair, but don't expect a massive amount of frills because it won't happen. Also, if you're not already familiar with AudioVault, get to know it and learn to love it. Unless things have changed, Entercom has a group deal with AudioVault, and you will be using it if you're not on it already.
