on my Sony Walkman - Analog tuning signal sucks, can't even pick it up

Kaito KA321 - Good signal, Didn't need my antanna up

At 45 watts, I asummed the signal would be better right in the City, But it's not...I hope there fixing the issue

I'm almost certain the issue is the antenna at the transmitter. At the Capital, you should hear it just fine.

For those of you checking this signal, I'm curious - how does it compare to the 105.9 Air-1 translator? The two sites are within a few blocks of each other, and 96.5 theoretically has better coverage than 105.9. But 105.9 is low power & high elevation while 96.5 is higher power at a lower elevation. I can't get either signal but I'm always curious about which is better.

Well I was at between 7th & 8th Capital

I got KUBU, But lil static..Sometimes mixing with KOIT on my Kaito KA321

Nothing on my Sony Walkman

I hope there fixing the antanna at the transmitter site

Drove into Sacramento today and holy cow, KUBU does not cover well. I didn't start getting it until biz 80 and El Camino and that's just when I started to pull it in on the car radio, it wasn't really listenable.

Coverage around town was not so good IMO.

Spoke with the CE at KUBU and it looks like they'll be getting their new antenna installed in the next few weeks.

Good to hear, haven't seen the mod come through just yet. I will be interested to see what the antenna swap dose to their ERP

KUBU Antenna Swap and Power boost

KUBU announced its new antenna a couple of weeks ago and boosted transmitter power while keeping 45 ERP. How's it sounding now where you are. Much improved down Hwy 99 and out 50 to Mather field IMO.

How is/was a LPFM granted to operate on 93.1 in Davis? Before anyone says anything, yes, I realize it's technically outside of KFBK's 60 contour but really?

I would be quite certain that IHeart Media would protest that application. I'm sure they've already done so.

I don'y suspect the proposed license in Dobbins will cause any issue. There seems to be enough separation. Still a noisy frequency though.

I'm sure 93.1 won't come on at all
