I don't know if it was coincidence or what, but today when I did a quick band-scan of the AM dial from Foley, I noticed that 540 WASG was unusually strong this afternoon around 3 pm. In fact, it was the strongest of the Mobile County signals by far. Are they back on full power? The programming sounded like a generic talk show, not necessarily religious in nature so I wasn't sure what on earth was going on. The problem they had a while back with the transmitter "popping" off for a half second constantly seemed to be fixed as well.
When they were on lower power after the Prichard tower came down, I couldn't hear them at all in Foley. The combination of distance and horrible RF noise put all but 1000 and 1310 here locally into the mud. But today I was able to hear 540 and 840 pretty clearly, with 1270, 900 and 660 a little better than usual.
