Looking for Internet Soft AC Streams

This is a station I plan to check out after the Christmas switch: http://mradio105fm.com/

I emailed the station about certain current artists I like. They do have some and some they don't have yet.

Checking out this station now. Selections are hit and miss. Some are soft and relaxing, others are too upbeat/noisy/annoying.

This is another commercial-free Soft AC station I enjoy.
A few selections on this station are a bit edgier than the previous stations I listed in my previous posts.

Joy 99.5

This station has got me geeking out! They love themselves some of the American Idol alumni! They've been playing a couple of songs by Phil Phillips (season 11) and Daughtry (season 5). For Christmas, they play songs by Carrie Underwood (season 4) and Mandisa (season 5). They've updated the playlist with some new songs recently and now have a song in rotation by Danny Gokey (season 8).

A/C Online Stations

Checkout www.litefmnh.com. We are a Online A/C station that has a upbeat mix from the 80's to Now.
We have Greg Stucki 6am to 10am, Aaron Anthony 10am to 3pm, Mike Thomas 3pm to 7pm, Nicholas Nixon 7pm to Midnight (all eastern times) and weekender Greg Carson and Bob Varnum.

Ah...It's still apparently KQID HD 2 but just renamed from Radio Qupid to Magic FM 100.9

Dropping this station. A nasty song like Blurred Lines on a Soft AC playing the Carpenters is a major No No.

Would that song even be considered for inclusion within a soft AC format, anyway??

If I were programming one, No.

To me, that song just seems a little too dance-oriented for soft AC. All in all, the station seems to be programmed well. I just heard Julian Lennon's "Too Late for Goodbyes". "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O'Connor is now playing...a song most broadcast soft AC stations will not air.

Another oddball choice for that station is "With Arms Wide Open" by Creed. Grunge guitars are a little heavy when played next to something like "Close To You" by The Carpenters.

Oddball choices like those are why I love the personalization of streaming services such as Pandora. I love being able to be my own programming director, weeding out things I don't like by giving it thumbs down votes.
