HD Transmitter Lease

I currently have a internet only station and looking to broadcast on HD radio. Anyone know who/if it is possible to lease a HD frequency/Transmitter in San Antonio

Please Let me know

It is.

I currently do not work in radio but I suggest contacting a radio station... There are a couple radio broadcasters you could try...
But why go HD? There are a few FM translators in town you could try at... HD is okay but doesn't have lots of listeners.

To clarify Unregistered's post...
It's true that HD doesn't have much listenership, but you might be able to lease one on the cheap. I'd try KRTU (Trinity University), Univision, Cox, or even Clear Channel. All those broadcasters have HD signals that may or may not be in use.

As for translators, a translator is a step below an FM station, in the sense that it is legal so long as you use another station as the primary signal to base it off of. If you do get ahold of a translator you will then have to find a primary station if you don't have one for it. You can use an existing FM, AM, or an HD signal... The trick is doing all this and staying in a low-cost budget.

The owners who have HD in San Antonio are Trinity's KRTU (non-commercial) and then the group owners of Cox, iHeart, and Univision. My hunch is that it might be easier to work with Cox than the other two because it is a smaller entity. Look up the local GM for each company, call them up and ask if they would entertain an HD sub-channel lease. I don't know the going rates in a market San Antonio's size, but my guess is that it would probably be between 2 and 5k per month. A good translator will be more than than and you still will need the HD lease as the originating station. Without the analog translator though, very few with be able to hear the station and it is unlikely to be financially sustainable.
