HD Subchannel Count Increasing

Has anyone noticed how many HD subchannels are in LA? Last year at this time there were only a few.. and now there are dozens of different programming and HD rebroadcasts all over the FM-HD band.
I know there will be a flood of naysayers here who have some bone to pick with HD signals, but personally I love HD Radio and am convinced it is here to stay. Being far superior to traditional FM signals, I am a supporter of a government mandate like we saw for TV a few years ago.

I just wish more radio manufacturers would add an HD capability to moderately priced radios. I realise that internet streaming is the new technology, but some of us would still like to tune in to HD and see what it's all about. I go down to my local Fry's and there isn't an HD capable radio there. :-(

Well, you just saved me a trip!

I am not fond of buying things ON-LINE, particularly some technology I have never owned before and don't know what the "gotcha's" are.

So what kind of retailer might have one on display.... actually ON and WORKING?

My Fry's in Woodland Hills, CA has them on sale. And the Best Buy (also in Woodland Hills) has them on display as well. Pioneer's AVH-X3500 BHS is a great system!! I had it in my car for a good while and loved it! You can also find portable radios by Insignia for sale online and a desktop one at Best Buy.
